About The Blog
The idea of having my personal website had been on my new year’s resolutions, every year, for the past few years. I really want to have a well-documented journal of my own, so that I can traceback anything at anytime. For the time being, I will mainly focus on travelling.
I love exploring new places. I love natural scenery. I love visiting historical sites and learning about the past. This blog contains mostly about my travel journey and I hope it could be useful for you and others as well.
We travel to learn: about the world, about other cultures, and about ourselves.
As stated on my first post BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, I mentioned that I would write this blog in Bahasa Indonesia. Well, turns out it’s easier for me (and more useful for others) if I write in English. Yet, the main reason I keep writing in Bahasa Indonesia is my parents – I mean, of course they understand English, but it will be way way easier for them. I also realise that somehow, somewhat I feel the need to write something down in Bahasa in formal manner. So yeah, enjoy!
Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. After graduating from high school, I flew to Manchester, UK, to take foundation course, then moved to Exeter to earn my BA Accounting and Finance degree. I married the love of my life after 4 years of LDR. I am currently living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The countries I’ve been fortunate to visit to date are:
Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and United Kingdom.
I used to love travelling solo; but since I found my best travel buddy, I (almost) always travel with him.
