Norway & Sweden: A Glimpse of Scandinavia

Another solo trip after finishing all university-related matters and internship. Graduation present, I guess? As I’ve started my summer internship a week after I had finished my final exams; and I finished my internship just a few weeks prior to my departure to Indonesia, so I thought I deserve a trip. As I was still (and still am) amazed by the beauty of Iceland, I wanted to take another nature vacation and I chose Norway!

I haven’t got much time as I also wanted to attend Rizky’s graduation in the Netherlands the following week. My main goal was to experience the Norway in a Nutshell trip. After doing some research, I decided to start the trip from Oslo towards Bergen – because Bergen is surrounded by gorgeous landscapes; and therefore the excitement would escalate i.e. save the best for the last!

Tujuan utama saya adalah untuk nikmatin Norway in a Nutshell tour. Setelah baca sana-sini, saya memutuskan untuk mulai perjalanan dari Oslo ke Bergen – karena Bergen pemandangannya jauh lebih bagus, jadi yaaย save the best for the last!

There are quite a lot of great spots for hiking around Bergen, such as Trollunga or Pulpit Rock. Considering the available time, I knew I could only explore Bergen. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out to be a pretty city! It’s not a big, metropolis city, yet not a small one like Exeter either.

Alhasil setelah selesai Norway in a Nutshell tour, saya cukup keliling kota Bergen aja. Awalnya saya gak terlalu tau mengenai kota ini, ternyata kotanya cantiik! Bukan kota metropolitan, tapi nggak ndeso juga kayak Exeter.

From Norway, I went to Stockholm, Sweden. This trip was actually an additional one, because it turned out that the ticket price of Bergen-Amsterdam was pretty much the same with Bergen to Stockholm + Stockholm to Amsterdam, so I was thinking “why not stop by at Stockholm?”

When I was in Iceland, I’ve made some new friends from Sweden and therefore I contacted them prior to my visit to Stockholm. Although two out of three people were out of town, one of them was in Stockholm! We then met up and spent some time around the city.
